At Becker's Basenjis, we are passionate about our basenjis and their owners. Our mission is to connect basenji lovers with their perfect companion and provide the best care possible for our furry friends.
OUR STORY
We carefully select members for our breeding program based on their exceptional conformation, temperament, and health, as well as their unique contributions to our genetic pool. All females in our program are descendants of prior breeding females within our ranks, allowing us to maintain a lineage of successful qualities. We consider both physical and behavioral traits when deciding to include a dog in our program, ensuring they align with our commitment to producing healthy and-rounded companions. Our breeding program reflects our dedication to excellence and the well-being of our beloved companions.
ABOUT THE BREEDER
My name is Candi Becker
I first fell in love with basenjis when my mom rescued 3 of them when I was in high school. After doing some research, my mom decided to start breeding them. Around 2013, I decided to start breeding basenjis for the first time as well. Living out in the country and having most of my family living on the same land, we collaborate together and work with each other in continuing our breeding program. Basenjis are so unique and have such a different personality that fits our family dynamic very well. We love the breed and will continue to better the breed with each new generation.
